Boxing Returns to the Waterfront

Top flight boxing returns to western Jamaica with the return of Boxing on the Waterfront at Pier 1 in Montego Bay. The boxing card will boast a number of amateur bouts along with three professional bouts to include the likes of Commonwealth Zonal Champion Sakima Mullings who will face Ian ‘Hagler’ Smith over six rounds and Tsetsi Davis who will face Glenroy ‘Bumpy’ Beckford over eight rounds, leading up to the feature fight for the night, Wray and Nephew Contender champion Rikardo ‘The Surgeon’ Smith facing Donovan ‘Police’ Campbell, also over eight rounds.

The fight night will take place on Sunday, December 4, 2011 and is scheduled to kick off at 7:00 pm. Robin Russell of Robin and Tango Promotions, promoters of this event, working with Stages Promotions, promises a great event. “We're going to bring a level of professionalism to the event — proper lighting, proper sound, security.”

Boxing Board President Stephen ‘Bomber’ Jones expects another successful staging of this event. The event is sponsored by Rum Bar and Big Joe.
